Get roasted and toasted at Spill the Beans! Serving up great coffee and fresh bagels, this Gaslamp Quarter establishment is a must-visit for coffee lovers when exploring downtown San Diego.
There are five Spill the Beans locations, all within San Diego. While they’re all great, I recommend the one in the Gaslamp Quarter.
There is just bar-style seating here, so I don’t recommend coming here to study or work. You can easily find a chair during slower times of day, but it’s located right next to a sports bar, so it gets loud.
8. Hinar Dessert Bar & Cafe
What to order at Hinar: Orange Blossom Latte and assorted desserts
Calling all fellow sweet tooths, this is the perfect coffee shop in San Diego for you. With a cozy, relaxed atmosphere, Hinar Dessert Bar and Cafe is a great place to grab a coffee and a sweet treat and slow down after a busy day, or rest before your next adventure in San Diego.

You can grab an array of sweet and savory pastries and pair them with matcha and coffee for a full breakfast from Michi Michi. Make sure to arrive as early as possible for the best selection of pastries. Note that there is only outdoor seating here as it is a very small building.
