Magic Kingdom Desserts
Not only are the rides in Magic Kingdom well, magical, but the desserts in this park are some of the best at Disney World.
1. DOLE Whip®
What’s a visit to Disney World without an iconic Dole Whip for dessert? The classic is a pineapple soft-serve style ice cream, but you can also get vanilla, coconut, or swirl. Aloha Isle in Adventureland offers different specialty flavors, like raspberry soda.
Also offered at Aloha Isle are ice cream floats, pineapple upside-down cake, and the Tropical Serenade, a tropical fruity float with a pineapple cake pop. You can also find Dole Whips at other restaurants and snack stands. Aloha Isle just offers more flavors.
2. LeFou's Brew
A classic dessert beverage you must try when in Magic Kingdom is LeFou’s Brew. It’s a combination of frozen apple juice with toasted marshmallow, topped with a passion fruit-mango foam. This is the perfect sweet treat to cool down with on a hot day at Disney.
They also have crème brûlée croissants and cinnamon rolls at Gaston’s Tavern; it’s a must-visit in Fantasyland.
3. Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel
For a not-too-sweet treat, head to Tomorrowland’s “The Lunching Pad,” and get yourself a sweet cream cheese-stuffed pretzel. You can also get a savory pretzel with cheese sauce and hot dogs here. It’s a good place for a quick lunch or dinner.
TIP! If you walk around the Astro Orbiter by the Lunching Pad, you’ll find Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies. They serve ice cream floats, sundaes, shakes, and churros. The salted caramel cold brew is the perfect combo of sweet treat and caffeine pick-me-up.
4. Seven Dwarfs Soft Serve Swirl
For a classic soft-serve swirl cone, visit Storybook Treats and get yourself a Seven Dwarfs treat. The ice cream is really good and perfect for a hot day. But you’ll have to eat it quickly!
You can also get other ice cream treats here. They offer an “Aurora Cone,” strawberry and blue soft-serve with white chocolate pearls. The “Rapunzel Sundae” is a shortcake with berry and lemon soft-serve topped with a berry compote.
Epcot Desserts
While you’re making your way around the world at Epcot, trying all kinds of desserts, check out the best rides at Epcot as well!
5. Kakigori
What’s better than a shave ice on a warm Florida day? Kakigori is Japanese shave ice, and you can get it at Kabuki Cafe. They offer several flavors, including grape and melon, as well as additional toppings to choose from.
I loved the Blue Hawaiian topped with coconut cream. I recommend grabbing a Kakigori after you’ve had some lunch at Katsura Grill next door; the noodles and sushi are fantastic.
6. Mickey Ice Cream Bar
From Snack & Beverage Carts
Every park sells Mickey Ice Cream

The most iconic dessert, other than Dole Whip, from Disney World, is the Mickey Ice Cream bars. You can find these at every park at the snack carts located outside on the pathways. Most of these carts sell ice cream bars, like the Mickey chocolate-dipped ice cream and ice cream sandwiches, as well as bottled drinks and popcorn.
7. Tarte au Citron
Pastry lovers, this is your sign to head straight to “France” when you arrive at Epcot. Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is perfect for any dessert lover. And not only do they have killer sweet treats, they also have smacking sandwiches.
I specifically mentioned the Tarte au Citron above as it was one of my favorites; it’s a creamy lemon tart topped with soft meringue. But they have a ton of other delicious sweets like créme brûlée, a vanilla apricot cream pastry, and a beignet filled with chocolate and hazelnuts.
Hollywood Studios Desserts
8. Blondie...Now Wookie Cookie
This was an anniversary special, so I can’t say for certain that it’s always available. However, the Backlot Express is still a great place to dine as they have many options, including allergy-friendly and plant-based options.
They do serve the “Wookiee Cookie,” an oatmeal cookie sandwich with vanilla cream filling and a milk chocolate strip on top.
9. Black Spire Mousse
From Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo (View Menu)
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios
Some Dining Plans Accepted
Chocolate fans, this Disney World dessert is perfect for you. The Black Spire Mousse from Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy’s Edge is a white chocolate mousse, brownie brittle served with Blue Milk sauce, pineapple cream, and hibiscus sponge topped with a chocolate coin.
The version I enjoyed was served with milk chocolate mousse and Green Milk sauce, and it was quite delicious. They periodically change this mousse dessert, but if you’re a chocolate lover, you’ll likely enjoy it. Docking Bay 7 is a quick service restaurant that also serves food and drinks.
10. Outpost Popcorn Mix
From Kat Saka’s Kettle (View Menu)
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios
Dining Plan Meals Not Accepted
Popcorn fans, this is a sweet AND spicy treat to get from Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The Outpost Popcorn is the perfect blend of kettle corn and spicy popcorn, and it’s honestly so delicious. It’s a nice break from the super sweet treats offered elsewhere. You can also get the popcorn in a souvenir bucket here!
11. Tenoo Swirl Crunchies Cereal
From Milk Stand (View Menu)
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios
Dining Plan Meals Not Accepted
The Milk Stand in Galaxy’s Edge serves not only its iconic Blue and Green Milks, but other beverage concoctions as well. One of the specialty drinks they serve is the Tenoo Swirl Crunchies Cereal, which is topped with raspberry jelly and mini rainbow crunchy candies.
At the time I tried this, it was a chocolate version topped with sweet foam and chocolate puff cereal. They also serve alcoholic versions of drinks at the Milk Stand, or you can visit Oga’s Cantina next door for more unique cocktails.
12. Hollywood Scoops Shake
From Hollywood Scoops (View Menu)
Sunset Boulevard at Hollywood Studios
Dining Plan Meals Not Accepted
An ice cream staple in Hollywood Studios is located right before you get to the Tower of Terror. Hollywood Scoops serves up ice cream, floats, and shakes, and they have an ever-changing shake special. This is a fun one if you’re not too picky about flavor.
Head to Hollywood Scoops and see what they’re serving at the time. I got to try a Key Lime Pie shake, topped with Key Lime cake, and it was so good. They’ve also had blue raspberry cotton candy float, another great one if you’re a fan of super-sweet desserts.
Animal Kingdom Desserts
13. DOLE Whip® Pineapple Orange Soda Float
From Tamu Tamu Refreshments (View Menu)
Africa at Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Another great place to find a twist on the classic Disney Dole Whip is at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in the Africa part of Animal Kingdom. They serve your classic pineapple cup, along with my favorite version, a fruity soda float. Get yours with rum or opt for a pineapple cake sundae.
14. Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse
From Satu’li Canteen (View Menu)
Pandora – The World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom Theme Park
Some Dining Plans Accepted
One of the more unique desserts you can find at Disney World is in the Pandora part of Animal Kingdom. If you go to Satu’li Canteen, you can try the mouthwatering blueberry cream cheese mousse. It’s topped with a passion fruit curd, so it’s the perfect mix of sweetness and tanginess.
Disney Springs Desserts
15. Amorette's Patisserie
In Disney Springs Town Center (View Menu)
Some Dining Plans Accepted
Treat yourself to an array of incredible desserts in Disney Springs from Amorette’s Patisserie. They offer a huge variety of pastries here, so I recommend ordering a few to try. If you’re a dessert lover, this is a must-visit even though it’s outside of the main Disney World parks.
I tried and loved the Mickey Mouse Dome (chocolate cake with dark and white chocolate mousses), lemon-blueberry cheesecake, vanilla crème brûlée, and a vanilla-almond eclair.
